Esbats

The Moon represents the Goddess,
the female spirit of the all,
our Mother, Sister, Aunt, Wife, Lover, Companion.
Esbats are the celebration of the Full Moon,
the time at which the Goddess' power is at its peak...
the time to achieve your heart's desire.

The different phases of the moon bring different energies, therefore it is best to do your magick during the appropriate phase of the moon to achieve the best results.

New Moon - Starting Projects
Waxing Moon - Building, Growth
Full Moon - Heart's Desire
Waning Moon - Banishing Negativity
Dark Moon - Rest and Meditation

The Full Moon of each month has its own name, (which varies from tradition to tradition, thus the collection of names under each month), and their own special associations, energies and qualities.
