The Crossroads Rune
"I go down to the Crossroads,
I try to flag a ride.
Don't nobody seem to know me.
Everybody just pass me by.
Sun goin' down,
Dark gonna catch me here!
Sun goin' down,
Dark gonna catch me here!"
This rune indicates a more difficult path where things are not so easy.
The Crossroads represents not only quarrels, misunderstandings, open enemies, and adversarial relationships, but also discipline and mastery over the self.
In this way, the Crossroads is not necessarily bad luck, as its descriptions might imply.
It stands for slow, but substantial gains.
On a mundane level, the Crossroads Rune suggests maintaining the staus quo, understanding boundaries and limitations, making a sustained effort, practical matters, and solid achievement.
Relationships may be on shaky ground when one of these elements is sacrificed at the expense of the other.
On a more basic level, the Crossroads stands for elders who are able to share their wisdom.
This rune stresses basic concerns, the bottom line, solitude, and reassessing your losses.
It can indicate feeling boxed in, separation, being shut out by someone you love, or even jail.
There may be feelings of discouragement or dejection when the Crossroads Rune turns up.
However, this rune promises that you will soon discover innate strengths and resources.
In this way what you finally achieve by hard work will have a deeper meaning than wins you gain from lucky breaks.
